Frequently Asked Questions
Before entering into a consultation of any kind, you will naturally have questions. Here are some of the more commonly asked questions with my answers, but if you would like to know anything else, please feel free to contact me for a personal reply.
No! As with all my consultations, I aim to help you work with what you already have. We mainly work with throwing out what you never or rarely wear to make space for some colours that make you really pop! I can also show you how to work with the items you can’t part with that aren’t strictly in your pallet.
Black doesn’t suit all of us, but it is defiantly a staple in everybody’s wardrobe. If black drains you, I can show you how to wear it so that it’s not as aging. However, when you see what other colours do for your complexion, you might not want black back again!
Many people are anxious about this one. The first thing to remember is I am initially looking to see if the colour likes you, rather than you liking the colour. But don’t worry, there are 42 colours in your pallet, and if there are the odd few that you don’t like, you don’t have to wear them. I’m not the colour police! In my experience, when you see the effect your best colours have on your face you look at them in a totally different way and grow to love them.
Not unless you want to! We will be looking at your shape close-up, so the best thing to wear is a t-shirt and leggings but that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, so arrive in whatever makes you feel most at ease. However, solid colours are better than prints for this process, as they are less distracting to the eye when I am assessing your body shape.
There is no hard and fast rule, but my feeling is colour should come first. It doesn’t matter how fab the shape or cut of the garment is, if the colour wears you then it will never make you look your best.
Yes, I do! If you are a man looking for styling to create a great first impression for work, online dating, or you have just got stuck in a wardrobe rut then, give me a call or message me and we can have a chat.
Yes, I do home visits but if it is for colour analysis, I have to work in good natural daylight so a big window or conservatory works well. I live between Pershore and Worcester but further afield would incur a mileage charge.
